Ofterwelt's Royal Academy of Magics

Ofterwelt's Royal Academy of Magics is the premier wizarding school in the Boedilian Empire, and is the only such school legitimized by the Empire. Those individuals accepted into the student body of the ORAM hold a special place in Boedilian society, and find themselves brushing shoulders with the most revered wizards in Cremona.

History

Rennis Ofterwelt, along with his apprentices, allied himself with King Tawley of the Boedilian Empire to win a war against the Jadini people of the Coriana Gulf in 145 FE. The king would publicly state that the war would have been lost without the help of Ofterwelt, and summarily made him the first Royal Grand-wizard. Ofterwelt was given a large plot in the newly formed settlement of Velsia to build a wizarding school to attract and cultivate wizards from around the world to protect the Empire. The school officially opened its doors, with a faculty and student body consisting of only 17, in 151 FE
