Tír na nÓg (tɪənanˈəʊɡ)

The Land of the Young

Tír na nÓg is the Major city of Tír Tairngire and named such because this is where the Celtic pantheon came into the Cré Dóite. After the Cataclysm of the Four Pantheons, the Celtic gods took residence in temples erected of stone, wood, and glass by their druidic followers. Over time, the families of the druids began to notice that they aged at much slower rates than the pilgrims who came to worship the gods inhabiting the area. Visitors began to take note of this as well and the city sprang up with many residents benefiting from their proximity to the gods.

A City Caught in Nature

Tír na nÓg, being home to the Celtic pantheon, is a verdant area. Most homes and businesses do not impede the natural beauty of the land and most residents maintain and cultivate a variety of native flora. Further, fauna has thrived and boomed in the city with residents and animals living side by side reciprocally.

Mysterious Origins

At the same time the gods arrived, several strange human-like creatures began to emerge.  In Tír na nÓg, these beings included predecessors to gnomes, halflings, and some elves that inhabit the Tír Tairngire archipelago.  These races followed the gods from the Otherworld when they came to this realm and were unable to return.  Some of the elves have also mixed lineages with the surviving humans giving rise to half-elves in Tír Tairngire.  Most of the modern inhabitants do not know much more about Otherworld, just that the gods and their ancestors came from there to save the planet at the request of the druids of the Ancient Ones.
