Cré Dóite

A world ravaged by the technologies of the ancient people.  The pantheons worshipped by the inhabitants had abided the ancient peoples' treatment of the planet for millenia.  Then populations outgrew their resources, leaving many to starve.  Their technologies' fuels destroyed entire ecosystems and changed much of the surface in unnatural ways.  This world is what was left in a cataclysm of the deities' attempt at correcting the ancient people's damage.
