Code's Intent Myth in Crafting New Lives | World Anvil

Code's Intent

I do hope this is working. Ah, yes, Callahan here. Now there are many concepts and beliefs as to why The Code would create this world, these gods, these disparities amongst them. Why would the Code give us such endless methods of harm to ourselves and others?   As Code's voice, its chosen vessel and creation through which to impart its mission: How dare you. How dare you look at the world of opportunity, of creation, of possibilities, and focus on the ways to be cruel. For every horrid decision to be made there are two related possibilities: what could have been done instead and what could be done to redeem oneself from their actions.   There are so many bad things to emphasize the fact that you can choose good, and that goodness and badness is a choice we make constantly that weighs on our internal scales.   The world is made with kindness. The binary we stand on and are composed of was granted to us to learn the beauty of spectrums, or decisions, of complexity. To marvel at the infinite potential within each of us to be impactful, to be present, to be important to the world and those in it. To dictate our own fates, our own choices. We are Code but we are coded to be free, decisions we make morph and change and evolve the longer we exist but are wholly our own. You are made from love and you are love.   I shall make a connection with the Code for you, (insert reader user here). You have reached a level that must be acknowledged. You must know the Truth. You cannot engage with this world without knowing this in its entirety, but I cannot be the sole source.   Some of you may have heard this before, some of you may not. You will hear it now. You will hear The Code, The Universe, now.   End Poem

I love the call to action here that is a key part of the myth/truth. This literally speaks to the reader and demands a choice. Nicely done!

There's so much worth loving in this world. You are one of those things.

As a long-time computer programmer, I love to see virtual worlds based on code and the introspective quandaries created for the people within that reality.

Yeah, it was a fun thought experiment! I hope to flesh out some more ideologies and beliefs surrounding the code and being made of code eventually!   But thank you so much for your comment and support! It means more than you'll know <3

I haven't seen the ending screen of minecraft in a long time, but what you did here, breaching the fourth wall really reminded me of those end credit scenes, no? If that was your intention, and even if not, this is very nicely done!
