The Crow-Folk Myths

It is said the crow-folk are the descendants of a crow and a human woman. The human woman had fled her home to avoid suitors she was not fond of to the forests outside her home town. A crow had seen her seek sanctuary under the trees his flock had made their homes in. When he realized she was unhappy, he tried to cheer her up by accompanying her as she wandered the woods usually by sitting on her shoulder or her arm. Eventually, he had fallen in love with the woman and gifted her as a crow would - with bits of shiny baubles, feathers, and flowers.
