Cyborg
At the age of nine, Seth was volunteered by his parents, both of whom were avid resistance members, for a resistance medical experiment. This medical experiment later turned out to be a front for the
Keln Empire's attempt to create cybernetically enhanced soldiers. The experiment was a colossal failure, and Seth was the youngest volunteer to survive the process. After is was revealed that none of the surviving volunteers were successfully brainwashed into following the Keln, the cyborgs were let go and the project was discarded.
As a result, Seth was left with incredibly enhanced strength, vision and intelligence alongside a myriad of technological augmentation. Ostracised from society and abandoned by his parents, who viewed him as a Keln soldier, Seth was quickly caught up in the criminal underworld of Berkner.
Protégé
After a few years of drifting between gangs and living life on the streets, Seth met
Takeshi. Takeshi was a renowned mercenary who was also cybernetically enhanced. Seth quickly adapted to life with the criminals of Berkner as he was taught to utilise his enhancements to become a deadly efficient killer. The pair worked together for many years, becoming a well-known duo that were hired for a multitude of jobs. It was around this time that Seth got the nickname Red-Eye as a result of his glowing red eyes - visible beneath the sunglasses he usually wears.
Unbeknownst to Seth, Takeshi was heavily involved in
Shackleton - often taking on jobs to disrupt Keln activities under the codename Samurai. Seth knew nothing about Takeshi's involvement in the Resistance, and began to take contracts from the
Keln Empire. Neither of them were aware that they were working against each other in secret.
Many years later, at the age of 17, Seth received a contract from the Keln Empire - to hunt down the Samurai. He expertly tracked the Samurai's movements over several weeks and found his hideout in an abandoned warehouse. It was then that Seth realised that the Samurai was his mentor. Takeshi was awaiting Seth, fully aware that he had been hired to kill him. Takeshi pleaded with Seth to join him and fight the Keln Empire, Seth refused and the two fought. Seth shot Takeshi, leaving that part of his life behind.
Mercenary
Following Takeshi's death, Seth received many contracts from the Keln Empire to carry out the suicide missions that the Empire believed were not worth wasting soldiers on. He also continued to work for criminal gangs, wealthy figures and many other employers to carry out everything from assassinations to robberies to spying.
Seth is renowned in Berkner as a battle-hardened, highly experienced mercenary, and only time will tell what becomes of him in later life.
