Mandrake's Mystical Emporium

The Mystical Emporium is owned by the enigmatic shopkeeper Mandrake.   At a first glance, it is a shop crammed with trinkets, old furniture, broken or worn out clocks, watches, and other (generally brass) mechanical gizmos - all the kind of thing you could see in any junk shop or the house of an old person surrounding themselves with memories. One notable item is a large and ornate silver teapot which stands at one end of the counter. This is hot to the touch, and Mandrake will happily offer strong black tea to anyone he likes.   But all of this is a front, and everyone in Sharrow's Hold knows it.  The shuffling figure of the owner is reputed to be a powerful retired mage of some kind. Behind the counter, a threadbare and filthy rug hangs over a doorway to a back room. Somehow, from this "back room", Mandrake can produce pretty much any magical item an adventurer could want. For a price.   Mandrake will also buy in magical items, and is reputed to be quite generous in the values he offers, always paying in diamonds. However, if he knows someone has dealt with Jilla at The Clockwork Owl then his offers will decrease very significantly in value. There is some rivalry between the two, although neither will openly discuss what led to it.
