The Clockwork Owl
The Clockwork Owl is one of the best magic shops in Sharrow's Hold . It offers fair prices in both sale and trade of magical items, at least to those customers who approach with respect. The proprietor is the respected elf mage Jilla
When you enter the establishment, the first thing to hit you will be the aroma, a delicious mix of herbs, spices, exotic woods and wax furniture polish. As you look around, you will see that it is cluttered, but in a highly organised fashion. A notable "feature" are four highly realistic statues dotted around the shop, as well as two suits of ornate armour, one at each end of the counter.
There is a glass-fronted counter across the middle of the shop. Behind it are apothecary's drawers, and a rack full of scrolls. Within the counter are assorted items and trinkets. A discerning eye will recognise that many of them are just for show, and not actually magical at all. Jilla will explain that all of the most valuable stock is held "offsite" although she never explains exactly where.
