Darian Krakenbane
Professor of Wizardry Darian (a.k.a. Krakenbane)
An old wizard, and member of The Golden Horde, a well known adventuring party who were among the first to explore the uncharted continents. Even at old age his wit is still sharp as a razor. He holds a honorary professor title at the Wizard's College, and his lectures are always full because of his hands on method of teaching.
These days he doesn't prepare any spells before going about his day, as he tends to rely on the city guards to keep the city, and him, safe. The exception is useful cantrips like Mending and Mage Hand and the low level spells Unseen Servant if he needs to do some tidying up, and Tenser's Floating Dish when he needs to go shopping.
He lives in a small manor outside Lerchendahl, and spends his time with his books when not walking to the city for a cup of coffee with his old friend Grumm Orcheck, the leader of The Golden Horde.
