Hard biscuit
A tough biscuit that will keep for awhile. They're perfect for long voyages, which can last over a month, and travelers use them to barter for goods.
They're also common in outposts which oftentimes can't get any other food.
Impromptu hard biscuits, called ash cakes, can be made over hot coals by wrapping the dough in leaves or burying it in the hot ash. These are usually eaten by soldiers
