Chataurii
Small fast talking bipedal lizard-like beings native to the world of Anoch. Their weapon of choice is a pair of serrated spears. They are swift and agile, and can even run across a stretched rope as swiftly and easily as if it was a road. If they are travelling at speed they can even run along a wall or even a ceiling for a little while. Despite rumours they can NOT stick to walls or ceilings though. The females tend to be slightly larger and brighter in their colouration. Three Chataurii ethnicities (or sub-species) manged to escape the destruction of Anoch by the Eternal Harmony.
Two of these ethnicities (sub-species) are now part of the Exiles of Anoch as they trek across Archeron. These are the Nauthi and the Taavi and they provide some of the fiercest warriors to the service of Asherah and her Paladins of Anoch. Though both ethnicities can interbreed, the offspring of such unions always seem to be infertile. On Anoch both ethnicites had a vicious feud with the each other but on the trek across Archeron most individuals have put that to rest, though occasionally there is conflict. There is very little inter-species discrimination amongst the Anochi refugees. With how dangerous their lives are, the Anochi can not afford it. Both Chataurii ethnicities have a lifespan of around 40 years, though the Nauthi live about 3 years longer on average. Both species can regrow a limb that has been severed, though it is not an instantaneous thing and can take months to fully regrow (between 6-10 months). They also speak very fast, and get impatient with others that require them to speak slower to understand them.
A third Chataurii ethnicity, the Khoasan are now part of the Eternal Harmony, and joined out of pragmatism looking to survive. They seem to regret their choice as they are rather low down in the hierarchy in the Eternal Harmony and rumours persist that the Mother of Monsters, Heleome is performing her experiments on some Chataurii eggs.
