Cielo Vista
Demographics
Cielo Vista is a conglomeration of Dark Fae, Light Fae, Under Fae and humans alike. The humans live in ignorance of the magical beings among them due to the Umbral Arcana and one of the few cities to have such protections. There is even the presence of a Fae Police Force to establish order and ensure the Compact is followed. The growing number of Under Fae over the years has created a significant imbalance in the distribution of wealth and power within the city. This has led to an increase in general injustices perpetuated against the Under Fae.
Government
The Light Fae are ruled by the elected members of the Rowan Council while the Dark Fae are headed by the Hecate. The Rowan Council rules over the Light Fae part of the city whereas the Hecate and her lieutenants determine the fate of the Dark Fae. In maters that effect both sides of the Fae, all members of government convene at a predetermined neutral location. In the event of an impasse, each side may elect a champion to determine "right through might."
Industry & Trade
When it was established, Cielo Vista was first mining town for raw materials such as coal and gold. Thus it only made sense that the city began developing its industrial plants to refine and then distribute the materials. For a century the city was prosperous to the point even humans began to settle the city.
However, as time wore on the mineral and metal deposits were depleted and there was nothing to sustain the local economy. The sudden loss of exports and processing materials caused a local depression as a great chunk of the population were suddenly unemployed. Overtime, the economy slowly recovered as the city began to diversify its exports and job market but there is still a high percentage of the population living in poverty.

History
The city was established back in 1827 by the Ivy Council and the Louhi of Roanoke as a western city for the Fae. The Rowan Council was comprised of powerful Light Fae who desired to move west from Roanoke such as Alistair Stormbrewer and Lance Banson. The Hecate selected from the Louhi's lieutenants, though there were rumors that she was selected so as not to overthrow the ancient Louhi.
Geography
The city is bisected by the Carnaca River which divides the prosperous part of the city from its less affluent side. The western and northern borders of the city change into ranches, vineyards, and orchards. The eastern border gradually changes into forests as part of conservation and reforestation efforts after the mines closed. Rodeo Bay takes up the southern border and is traversed by ships and barges full of trade goods.
