The Six Kingdoms Period

The Six Kingdoms was a period of political strife within Northeastern Faraway in the year 3500, when the dragons and men fought for dominion over the collapse of the Pungian Empire.

History

Pre-Text: The First Pungian Empire

After dragons had taken over dominion with humanity, they forced the men in the region of Great Pung to build them cities to store their riches and gold. In the year 1A 840, the actual city of Pung was built in the Jekli Sea for the red dragon, Jong Kuchall-Son, who ruled the men of Pung with an iron fist. Settlements grew further as Pungians started to farm rice and other grain in the fertile region, as well as raise cattle for the dragons to feast upon.
The duel between the two dragons would decide the fate of Pung for the next two millenia: the golden dragon Jyn-Long, and his enemy the red tyrant Zi Jong-Long.
Things began to change by 1A 1050, when the regions of Chunc, Tamay, Madeci, and Tallia overthrew their dragonlords and drove them away. The Pungians, however, saw a very different revolution: a golden dragon named Jyn-Long challenged the current Dragon King of Pung, named Zi Jong-Long. Jyn accused Zi Jong of being a tyrant, and declared the men of Pung needed a righteous king. In a battle over the skies of Pung lasted a week. In the final moments, Jyn bit into the neck of Zi Jong, snapping it. Then, Jyn descended from the skies and declared himself the new Dragon King of Pung. But unlike Zi Jong-Long, he would rule in relative benevolence.   The following next centuries, Jyn-Long worked hard to unite all the realms of Pung under his watchful eyes. He conquered the main valley and the regions of Oga, Ukasan, and Yin, which bowed fealty to him. He struggled over the mountains of the Great Divide, but eventually placed Shikaizu under his rule. Uniting all the Pungian lands, Jyn-Long became known as the First Dragon Emperor.

Collapse of the Empire

Nearly 2000 years of Dragon Rule led the neighboring empires of Tallia, Madeci, and Tamay to leave the lands of Pung alone. Even the mighty Tallian Empire, at their height in the 21st century, feared the Pungians. Eventually, Pung would subjugate the Tallian Empire once it collapsed. This was the greatest mistake of the Pungians. Tallian ideas of democracy and human rule began to sound rather good to the citizens of Pung, who lived under dragon kings in their lands who were growing more and more corrupt.   The opportune moment for schism came in the year 3509, when Emperor Khogen Jyn-Long died without a direct male heir. His nephew Sujin Jyn-Long was appointed to be the next emperor. At this moment, however, the King of Ogaman, Kamu Itoku, declared that the Empire had been dissolved with the death of Khogen Jyn-Long, and believed that the Oga were now independent. This sparked a war between King Kamu and Emperor Sujin, but Kamu's holding of the Four Tours in the Oga Valley proved too much for the weak Sujin. Unable to show his prowess, Sujin was seen as a weak emperor, and soon enough, five other nations declared themselves as independent and began to war for each other to draw up new borders. Which led to the chaos of the Six Kingdoms erupting into a massive war within the entire region of Pung, fighting each other to see who the next dominant power in the land would be. Use of ninjas, samurai, warlords, and powerful mages led to even peaceful regions like Tsino being forced to fight for survival. Who would come out on top?

The Dragon Emperors
Before the schism, the line of Jyn-Long ruled in relative peace in the united Pung nations, defending it from malevolent chromatic dragons. Under their leadership, Pung found itself having great wealth and prosperity. By the end of the 35th century, however, Pung had grown too big for it's own good with the constant rebellions. Here is a quick list of the emperors of Pung before the schism:
