Gorgek

Gorgek was a Green Dragon who terrorized Icenglav in the year 1A 5699. He was notorious for kidnapping Princess Durkavna Natalia and working with the wizard Ungruld.

History

Early Life

In the year 5678, the dragon Gorgunsk assisted his bride, Zilgoth, in building their crypt as she laid her eggs. Gorgek was hatched in the crypt with his brother, Gorgoth. They were raised in the land of Goth, hiding within the forests north. However, when they reached their proper age in 5688, the brothers parted way with their parents and sought to prove their own might. Gorgoth headed toward Lysandus, and would ultimately join forced with the Knights of Black Dragon.
Gorgek, however, chose a different path, heading north toward Icenglav. He figured his brother a fool, as Lysandus was protected by the Dragonlords. Gorgek saw more value in terrorizing the disjointed Icenglav. In the year 5697, as he preyed in the northern greens of Icenglav, he would be approached by the necromancer Ungruld. Ungruld, being a disciple of the banished Koschei, offered Gorgek riches and power over Icenglav if he assisted him in his scheming. Gorgek would ultimately agree, but had his own ulterior motives.

A Curse over Gothai

By 5699, the turn of the century, Gorgek plotted with Ungruld against the princess of Icenglav, Natalia IV. They sent a musician named Amadeus to place a spell on the town of Bardinca to collect funds, but it would be foiled by three adventurers. Regardless, the next plan was initiated. Gorgek and Ungruld sent goblins and orcs to stop the party while they invaded Fenebach. Gorgek flew the necromancer into the city and assaulted the castle. Ungruld then had a fight with Queen Natalia and struck her with a curse, while Gorgek nabbed the princess. With the queen wounded, Gorgek and Ungruld escaped the city with Princess Durkavna Natalia within their grasps.
He carried her and a false Winterstone to the dungeon of Mt. Strynovo, his lair, and placed her into an anti-magic cage. Gorgek then waited for anyone to rescue the princess. Eventually a group of adventurers, consisting of Charles Mane, Saphira, and Aldric Gemcutter encountered Gorgek in his dungeon. The party fought Gorgek through the wreckage of the old Castle Strynovo until he was ultimately killed.
