Dunkoff

Dunkoff was a shared Halfling and Human settlement alongside the western coast of Gotha.

Demographics

The town of Dunkoff is largely filled with humans within the inner parts of the town, as well as a dwarf minority. On it's outskirts, however, you would find settlements of halfling homes on the outside. Halflings make up a large part of the commerce within the city itself, being independent farmers, while the human farmers work as serfs under the Earl.

Government

Dunkoff is ruled by an Earl, the great lord of the town who owns much of the farmland. The Earl acts as the city's proprietor and funds their military and economic policies. However, he also submits to the authority to the Duke of Manneruck, and the King of Larian.

Infrastructure

The Cursed Hammer Inn

The Cursed Hammer is a simple wooden building, with only a few crude tables and benches. It is located near the southern gate of the town. It is called “The Cursed Hammer” because the owner, Blanc Pyne, found the hammer on the side of the building and simply cannot remove it. He uses it as an identifying piece now. It provides beds and food for all those who enter.

Coalback's Fine Weapons and Armor

Owned by a dwarf named Thadgruid Coalback, who is an expert in crafting dwarf weapons and armor. He gets his materials from Manneruck's iron mines, which is how he creates his steel. At his store, there is also magically crafted weapons that he is willing to sell, at a reasonable price.

Littlefoot's Clothier

A family owned business, it is run mostly by Mimosa Littlefoot, a halfling woman who is a professional tailor and can create clothes for people of all sizes. She is also known for repairing clothes if they are needed.

Market

Dunkoff has a sprawling market in the center of the town, where one can buy livestock, fresh vegetables, farming supplies, and potions. It is currently headed by the Trade Guilders of Fenestien, who do not take kindly to thieves.

Architecture

Dunkoff appears to have Halfling-influenced buildings on it's outskirts, being built into hills of the sorts for their homes and stores. For the interior, it resembles human housing, with cross-hatched sides and hay rooves covered with stone and wood. In the center of it all is the earl's castle.
