Bghonah - The Archfey

Bghonah is the Archfey (or Fey Father) and King of the Unseelie, and he doesn't want anyone to forget it. To the cultists of the world, he is the god of trickery, of bargaining, and of pleasure (particularly those involving sweets). To the elves, he is nothing but trouble and a malevolent spirit of the fey who perverts Brigid's good works.   Naturally, he perverts the fey for sinful (or as he says, "delightful") needs. Elves call him "The Sinelveh" for his tempting and disturbing nature. His worship and cult was one of the earliest to be banned by the Church of the All-Divine for said reasons.

History

Long ago, Bghonah was a mere fey knight to the King Oberon of the Feywild. Bghonah, however, was a character of deep chivalry in those days. He was a character of forbidden, courtly love. Thus he tried to seduce Queen Titania. She fell for him, and the Seelie King was distraught. He ordered Bghonah captured. However, many of the fey sided with Bghonah, as well as elves. Bghonah fought Oberon, but lost against the fey king, and him and his fey were banished from the feywild, turning into "Unseelie".   Bghonah's hatred and forgotten love twisted into the Sinelveh persona: malevolence and trickery, and forgetting the beauty of chivalry. He led the unseelie fey to terrorizing the realm of Talamh. Evidently, he carried a hatred for Oberon and Brigid, terrorizing the elves and the seelie fey when he saw fit. It was for this reason, the druidic orders were founded across Talamh, the most crucial of them being the Druids of the Kirkwall.   During the Great Heathen Invasion of Albion (the years 4350-4351), Bghonah involved himself in the conflict through manipulating his servant John Harvard-Hemming into becoming two people and causing chaos within the conflict. What he did not expect was for one of the split Johns to rebel against him, and thus he tracked them down in order to get his grasp on the Bifrost of Vanu-Am. He was slain, and the mantle of Bghonah was taken by the restored John, who turned into the Bghonah of present day.

Myths

In myth, Bghonah has made efforts to reach out to mortals and either bargain or give them worldly pleasures. This involves powers, pacts, or transformations of them into abominations. Occasionally, he'll be so impressed by the mortal that he'll make them a thrall. These thralls eventually become warlocks, doing his bidding to mess with the world to his delight.   When these warlocks die, they often become sluagh, unwavering spirits of sinful men or women who wander the fey forever. They continue to act in Bghonah's favor for as long as their spirits linger, sometimes engaging in the actions he also enjoyed.

The Mountain's Shadow

According to old elven tradition, Bghonah is a fey who has been manipulating the forest of Mountain's Shadow for centuries. With the amount of power he holds, he perverts the rules of nature to bend the shadow of the mountain from going east to dipping into the south, where the forest lies.

Divine Domains

Life, Nature, Trickery

Divine Symbols & Sigils

A twisted branch (though he will wear a butterfly as a tie most of the time, trying to trick followers of Brigid).

Divine Goals & Aspirations

Bghonah wishes to use the forests and wilds of Talamh to allow people to engage in pleasures they truly should not be doing. He will mess with mortals and pervert them with magical means to give them extraordinary powers at terrible costs, simply because he enjoys pushing to see how far their moral codes go.

Physical Description

Body Features

Strangely, Bghonah does have thicker body hair on his face and skin, signifying how he is a perversion of elven culture and physiology. His ears are also stretched and his body has green splotches in random places.

Personality Characteristics

Motivation

In a way, he seeks a primal idea of mortals, one just like the animals of the fey. Except, they are much more powerful and malevolent.

Likes & Dislikes

Bghonah loves eating cookies. Often times young elven children will be warned not to bring any sweets, especially cookies, into the fey parts of the forests. Once they do, he will sniff them out and snag the sweets, and try to bargain them off. Either that, or he preys on anyone carrying them to do bad things to them. Depends on how he feels that day.   Chocolate in general will lead you to trouble in the lands of the fey. Bghonah will very much eat boxes of chocolate even when making deals. However, he does not enjoy it when people waste perfectly good chocolate or any sweets in order to keep him away. He retaliates by doing awful things to them.

Oh goodness. All this serious stuff about how evil he is, and then the hilarious bit about cookies and chocolate at the end. I like it!

I could have done "devil's food cake" but that would have been too on the nose.
