Harvest Moon

The Harvest Moon is a celestial event that takes place on the last full moon of autumn in the northern hemisphere of Solia and is widely regarded as the largest full moon of the year.

Execution

In Falcrest, Fieren, and Nuaira, the Harvest Moon is met with celebration for the end of the harvest season, with festivals that pay homage to Deiter and invoke blessings for the community to survive the winter. Even larger cities, such as Ubressa, have variations of the Harvest festivals, though they tend toward more opulent, ostentatious secular celebrations.   In Dunmaerik and in County Qeador, Falcrest the Harvest Moon is met with superstition and fear, being called the Blood Moon or the Wolf Moon. It is said that the ghosts of the Sjeki Tribe roam the land during the Harvest Moon, claiming the blood of the Falcresti who slaughtered their tribe and the Dunmaer who did not avenge them. Around the Wolfweald in particular, disappearances and violent death increases significantly during the week of the Harvest Moon.
