Djenn Djenati

The Djenn are the dominant ethnicity of Djenati people, as well as the stock from which all other ethnicities have descended. Their origins in the woodlands of Venidon predisposed them to life in the woods throughout Solia when their homeland was destroyed.   The Djenn are a diminutive people, standing between 2.5 and 3.5 feet (0.762 - 1.0668 meters) in height, ranging from 20 to 40 pounds (9.07185 - 18.1437 kilograms). They typically have a ruddy, reddish tan coloring to their skin. Hair colors run a wide spectrum, from blonde to black; eye colors also span the spectrum from purple to yellow, showing the traditional glittering of their species.   Based on their woodland heritage, Djenn are predisposed to natural skills and talents; Djenn live in harmony with their environment, crafting villages within the forests and undergrowth, training the trees and brush to grow around and through their homes. Druids, priests of Melanasia, and rangers are common in Djenn communities, and most Djenn have woodland-derived occupations.   Djenn tend to be chaotic people, influenced by the wild of the wood. Despite their chaotic nature, they tend to have a good heart. Djenn settlements tend to have a non-existent central government but operate as a socialist or communist entity, with the citizens banding together to help one another. Djenn tend to settle around wells or clearings in forests, their homes woven into the higher branches of trees.
