Myrrdin Triangle

The Triangle is a sacred and long-lived symbol of the Myrrdin people. As they see themselves in three distinct racial castes, the tri-cornered shape was a perfect analog for their people: there are the solar Myrrdins, lunar Myrrdins, and the astral Myrrdins. The style in which the triangle is presented has remained the same through time; the single intersection always facing up and the bottom two corners below--and the triangle itself was then always filled in--never hollow. The vertices themselves notes the distinction and social placement of the castes; in ancient Myrrdin architecture, this signified the three different kinds of monarchs; there was the head astral monarch, and the two who sat by her side, the solar and lunar monarchs.   While the concept of their monarchs is now outdated, there are still relics of the past that alter the triangle only slightly: when their republic lived, the triangle was used to signify one’s loyalties to a particular racial caste of the Myrddin people. This is done by marking or drawing a semicircle--or line, though this was less common--before or at the point of one of the corners.   Nowadays, symbols like these threaten the core philosophy of the Myrrdin people; no longer do they think it relevant or intelligent separate into castes; unity and binding in times of peace or crisis is vastly more important. To signify this, the triangle is now hollow minus three lines that move from the corner into the shape into the center, where they link; simply put, this creates a triangle that is divided evenly into three pieces, though to use “divived” in this way would displease the Myrrdin.   This symbol is prevalent in the jewelry and design of jewelry and furniture of the Myrrdin. As a matter of fact, one can see this most strikingly over the heads of cradles, dangling down over their young: various mobiles will depict various triangles with certain sides colored or marked on an outer layer, then transition the the newer symbols in the middle until it reaches the central triangle, where a the whole shape will be made evident by some color or other material, typically being made out of quartz, glass, or some see-through shining material.
