The Solar City

Sometimes you just gotta build a giant ringworld around a sun with no orbiting planets for people to live on. Sometimes you gotta get a capital of that ringworld. Sometimes that ringworld's capital, due to it (at least so far) being pretty unique, gets to grab the name of the Solar City.

Demographics

People imported or moved of their own will onto the ring from across humanity: very racially diverse and even includes plenty of gene leakers (a rude term for people with mutated or modified genes that are allowed to breed despite them because they don't offer any real advantage to them or their offspring). Most of these people had crappy lives in their previous locations, hence them moving.

Government

It's run much like any CHG planet.

Defences

Aside from the typical Defense Force, not much. It's in a very safe part of CHG territory (meaning away from the LIR but also not so far in the direction that is away from the LIR that it's somewhere that the CHG lacks control over) and so doesn't really need that much in terms of defense.

Industry & Trade

Lots of tourism, energy, and shipyarding.

Infrastructure

Aside from the titanium skeleton around which the rock of the ring is built (which, regardless of where you are in the city, is definitely beneath you, but can also be next to you and above you as well because ring logic), the city itself contains 3 largely uninhabited space scratchers with many bridges between them. Within these space scratchers are the homes, shops, space ports and so on of the city.

Assets

Solar energy is a pretty obvious one but there's also access to plasma for fusion from that sun the ring encircles.. There aren't really any minerals in the rock below them besides that needed to ensure a strong healthy titanium skullyton to hold the city back from collapsing into the sun (and so this rock is best left unmined). The population is a working progress.

Guilds and Factions

Due to the sheer newness and yet-to-go-horribly-wrong-as-all-crazy-CHG-things-do-ness of it all, the only real factions are political ones on things like "more taxes less roads", "less taxes less roads", "more taxes more roads" and "less taxes more roads".

History

CHG: I should build a ringworld. *waits several seconds* huh, the LIR would've normally rolled in by now and made us have to allocate all resources to the military to survive in a defensive war in which we're hopelessly outnumbered.

LIR: shutup I'm busy trying to enslave some hive-minded bugs at the same time as stopping a giant Tartle rebellion while countering pirate groups and containing a terrible disease that I'm like 90% sure you planted in me.

CHG: Nice he's busy I can do giant social experiments with tonnes of resources and see if this is actually better than doing rings of terraformed planets as most of my other things haven't proven promising.

Architecture

Shanty towns inside of Space Scratchers, bruh. Except these shanty towns are made using extremely advanced tools and strong materials by very engineering-oriented people so, despite the houses still looking kinda sucky to live in, they're actually pretty decent for ventilation, insulation, security and the like.

Geography

Endless rocky terrain with occasional patches of dirt where lots of plants grow. The CHG was really stepping out of the norm they'd made for themselves here as they wanted to see if they could go about it in a non-Jeff way (as it's suspected Jeff designed the process on how cool he thought it would be as well as actual practicality. I wouldn't be surprised as he made a robot dragon to guard his memory stores and, despite being hella clever, did still have a sense of fun and muckery).

Natural Resources

I mean if the locals ever feel like destroying the titanium skeleton that keeps their city from collapsing.
