Lonfar Riverlands

The Lonfar River is the largest output of Scalebright Lake. It takes the lake's water and carries it all the way to the ocean. These riverlands are situated between The Obsidian Strip and the Lindral Forest. Due to this position, and the mountains on the Obsidian Strip, many minerals and nutrients are washed into the Lonfar and its tributaries. Of all of the riverlands, this is likely the one with the best soil. While the other riverlands might have settlements and the occasianal city, the Lonfar Riverlands have the fewest and smallest settlements by a large margin. That isn't to say that the area is poorly populated, however, simply taht the vast majority here engage in nomadic lifestyle. Most of the settlements that do exist are on the Riverland's borders with the Strip and the forest. While there are one or two deeper in the riverlands proper, they are much smaller than border settlements. 
While there are many Biethtìre in these riverlands, the largest collection here are the centaurs. They canstantly roam up and down the riverlands, hunting, gathering, living off of the land, and conducting their rituals and ceremonies. Leonin and Loxodon also roam these fertile lands in nomadic tribes, though their travels are more likely to diverge onto the Obsidian Strip and Goldengrass Plains or the Lindral Forest, respectively. Often, these nomadic movements have become so routine that paths and muddy roads have begun to form.

Geography

Because of the mountains of the Strip and the erosion of the Lonfar, these riverlands are a bit of a valley. The elevation changes aren't severe or sudden, but there is definite sloping of the terrain as one approaches the river proper.

Climate

The north of the riverlands benefits from Scalebright Lake stabilizing the temperature, and the south from the ocean. In the middle, however, the climate varies greatly with the season. During the winter, many centaur tribes will stick to the northern or southern ends of the riverlands, though the Loxodons may traverse the temporarily icy area.

Natural Resources

This area has some of the best farmland in Chenravo, but it goes largely unused as the centaurs, who are largely seen as the lords of the land, feel that it goes against Jakular's teachings. They allow small farms of the borderlands, but anyone setting one up or expanding one without a tribe's permission is likely to see their crops burned and their buildings demolished. 
Due to the centaurs' cultivation and care for the land, it has a deep resovoir of natural energy. As such, many who spend time here find that chronic conditions are lessened or even disapated, wounds and other injuries heal much faster here, and those who have been told that their conditions are terminal have a chance at survival.

Tourism

The area has stunning vistas and a great variety of endemic flowers and medicinal plants. While the Lonfar Riverlands often aren't a destination on their own, many travel through them on their way to the Obsidian Strip, Scalebright Lake, or the Lindral Forest.
