SC2021 Wrap-up in Chasuria | World Anvil

SC2021 Wrap-up

Because I love a good conculsion to a thing, as a tie into my SC2021 Pledge, I am to make myself a SC2021 Wrap-up. I would have liked for it to come out on the 1st or 2nd but Instead I decided to work on some other projects.

The pldege's goals

Project

Which project were my worldbuilding efforts tied to? My novel(s) (well maybe novellas) that are currently underway. And I am pretty happy with what I got down. When I am in the all clear, I shall definately edit them, yes, but for now I am happy, although the perfectionsist within is screeching.

World

To answer the question of what world did I work upon, is simple. I worked, of course, on Chasuria. I don't have any other worlds, well I have one private one for other personal things. I was hoping to use this summercamp to get some more worldbuilding before I started upon my novel, now under the name of 'The Death Blossom Princess'.

Areas

Which area of the world(s) did you work on? Quite a few, I did write some on Cuerero. However, I also focused a lot on Atoirel, it's peoples, their culutres and some geography. I also focused upon bits of Villia Antasi Noi (an academic organisation), the faith most present within my novels, Daiturianism, brothels (and the crimnal underworld as a whole), and some other bits and bobs.   I also worked on, over summercamp, the way I write articles. I had been hoping to tell my lore as I do my stories in 3rd person limited. A lot of my articles have been from the persepectives of people (mostly historians) and organisations such as the afformnetioned Villa Antasi Noi and The Eitumites. I hope to continue with that after summercamp.

Volume

How much did you complete? I'm not sure the wordcount, although I know very few reached my goal of 600+, as I was trying to acheive my goal of 31 prompts and the fact that not all articles can pass that (example: most things to do with materials or speices, in my case). However, I did get all 31 done! And, any peice of worldbuilding is worldbuilding, no matter how big or small it is.

Timing

When did I write? Whenever I felt like it. Early July wasn't a great spot for me. I was busy since the first week or so is non-stop birthdays in my immeadte family as well as the academic year finnishing up for me. I also took a holiday 10-14th, down south to Swanage, much to my delight since castle. Although, later July I was pretty much on a roll. And suprisingly, in one night I got 7 articles done when I decided to write more in 3rd person limited. Also, thanks to summer, I got to write during the night and become nocturnal once more, aiding my ability to be more productive, it seems (I am not a very morning or day person).

Support

Who was my support network during SC? Hard to nail down, indeed. In general, my support network were you, on the WA discord server! You folks are a lovely bunch, and it is the least drama-filled place on Discord I have ever seen. Also, my support also ended up being Anhult's discord server, the Red Lion B&B, so thank you to anyone on there!

Burnout Situation

After last year, where my burnout was about at least until WE, I have suprsingly not had burnout. While I have not been posting articles, because I would prefer to take a little break, I am brimming aplenty with new ideas I would love to write about. But, for now, I am going to go back to writing my 2nd draft of the 1st chapter of 'The Death Blossom Princess'!

Article Showcase

Currently, I have my personal article showcase in the sidebar. But, I also have on the way an article showcase for the community, it'll be out in the next few hours or days depending on my laziness when I have actually read a few articles. Check It Out
