Toaccai

Toaccai are Liabdais who live toward the edge of the Unending Dun, and grew more of a heart than their Ebtarrai cousins. Toaccai are the ones who grew jealous of the favouritism shown to the Ebtarrais by Abdemn, so they captured Abdemn's wife and forced Abdemn to take his own life to free her. Abdemn complied and this caused a war between the Toaccai and Ebtarrai. The war has since ended, and the Aliallage Mountains separate the two races.
Toaccai embrace other civilisations and cultural ways of life, and participate in global trade, depending mainly on the Preherians nearby to transport their goods across Ebdypha. Because they are the deepest people in the Dun who still trade, they offer rare resources such as high quality silver, gemstones, tin, diamonds, and amber. They have forgotten about the love of Abdemn that they once warred over, and have turned instead to the comforts of wealth, and the shimmer of gems and silver. They also are the best at living a life of luxury within the Dun, and have adapted fairly well to such a hostile and magical environment. They look down on their Ebtarrai neighbours, seeing them as brooding, resentful, and old-fashioned.
