Kraljar
K. Torness (621-649)
Human Ranger/8
Kraljar the Spear-thane was the second son of King Siglaf of Torness, and never seriously considered a contender to the throne for much of his life. His elder brother Sigmund was smarter, stronger and braver than he -- by all measures, made to be a king. However, during a daring nighttime raid against the Giant Clans he suffered a blow to his head which rendered him insensible, a state from which he would never recover.
On Siglaf's death, Kraljar appealed to the jarls and Great Clans to decide between himself and Sigmund. He advocated for his brother's claim, but in the end it was obvious that it would be unwise. He was crowned in 621, ruling well until his death by illness in 649. He left behind his wife Aud and his three surviving children Gytha, Haemund and Brida.
