World Ember 2024
It's approaching that time of the year once again, a time for unlimited creation, filled with community love, community challenges, and inspiration everywhere.

Homework - Week 1
I plan on writing in both Iphars and Shattered, but I don't wanna limit myself to a specific area, for me, Summer Camp is the challenge for limits and World Ember the one for freedom. I do wanna try write one base of Shattered and edit a couple articles for Iphars at least though.
About the meta? We don't like Metas in this house. Not doing anything with these, I'm fine with both worlds' metas.
Homework - Week 2
Homepage and primers? Both are more than fine for me. I've updated both of them earlier this year IIRC, and it's something I keep on my mind all the time? I always try getting new ideas on how to improve both of them all the time. But, while the ideas are brewing, I consider them perfectly done. I shall not struggle with them for nothing.
Community tools, eh? I'm pretty happy with mines? At first I thought they asked people to share if they had helpful articles like my Introduction to containers, but no, they mean following buttons and such. I have community tools both in my world's homepages and in global fields, so if anyone is not following, hopefully is cuz they don't want to (for whatever reason; I won't be mad). I don't really have subscriber groups? At least in Iphars and Shattered (that I remember at least...). So, community tools are set up!
CSS Wizardry! If you have meet me for more than five minutes, you know I love my CSS. I love struggling with it, I love touching things here and there, I just enjoy it. Because of that, I am quite happy with my CSS (thankfully, I've struggled for like 5 years with Iphars' CSS but it's perfect now), and I quite enjoy spending a little bit of "article writing" time touching CSS, it's part of the process for me. So no CSS changes for me!
Just as a small note, all the homework is NOT applied to the world you are currently in: Cato Creation's. This world is being updates whenever I have time but it's a non-worldbuilding world to hold my projects, challenges articles, guides, and similar things. I do wanna update all my World Ember articles (their navigation, categories, and other non-content stuff) before WE2024 though.
Homework - Week 3
I've been lately reading the book "Sapiens: A Brief History of Humankind" by "Yuval Noah Harari". It's a really cool book, talks about humanity's history and how we are who we are nowadays. It left me open-mouthed too many times of surprise or just going "damn, yeah, never thought it thtat way but it's true". Oh, it's also giving me worldbuilding ideas! Which I guess it's the important part here.
I'm also watching the series "Arcane", specifically the Season 2.
It's... it's really good. Heart-breaking in some moments, yes, but it's a masterpiece. Amazing writing of characters, amazing music queues, SO MUCH FORESHADOWING LIKE HOW DID U DO THAT AND I DIDN'T REALIZE... Ejem. Just really good. I'm sad it's supposed to end next week. I'm physically shaking when I'm watching the new episodes.
Moodboard? Not my thing. Doesn't work with how my brain works. Next.
Look, don't murder me, but unless I'm exhausted or writing something... delicated? I'm more than fine hearing music with lyrics. Hell, sometimes I just have videos in the background instead of music. So, my beloved playlists is just whatever Youtube's auto-play feature has ready for me. Yeah, sometimes I need to skip a song, but in general? Really good at giving me background music. That might be because I constantly have background music and it has too much info about me but let's ignore that.
If I need to concentrate for whatever reason, I tend to go hear either "Little Nightmares" soundtrack (it's a bit creepy, be warned) or have some music from "Two Steps From Hell". Both are good. One a bit creepy, one hella epic. It's good.
Homework - Week 4
Got on my side the Cheems, the Cookies, and the STC. Got that covered. The WA community is also very nice whenever I pop in.
SchedulesWe don't like each other, they are too restrictive, I forget too much. Not compatible unfortunately. But if you insist, my writing schedule is either morning or night.
I think I will enjoy more brainstorm my new worldbuilding idea. I am also forced by my dog to get ouside to check on her, so I got fresh air too.
