Carnicula
Across the mystery of Eternus endless realms come and go just as most desires rise and fall within countless hearts and souls. Eternity ascends and descends into itself as countless perceptions of reality give rise to an endless ocean composed of raw possibility. Some will see this strange world through the eyes of another, while others will gradually see themselves within it. Eternus touches all things and nothing simultaneously, and Carnicula is no exception to this rule. A wave of flesh and sinews waxes and wanes as old tissue is replaced with new forms and ideas. Seas of plasma dwell within strange landscapes that have skies composed of muscles contracting against one another. Trees made of nervous tissue connect both land and sky as they pulse currents of energy throughout Carnicula. A vast network of neurons gives an eery light to a moist, dark world that seems to always be in some sort of motion. All matter of flesh and bone spring up in unusual, yet beautiful forms that present breathtaking landscapes to those that find themselves within Carnicula. Organisms with greater organisms coexist in an eternal relationship of connectivity and companionship as they harmoniously work together to keep Carnicula alive and well. All flesh is one, from the smallest cells to the largest organs. None are greater than the other, yet all are equally valued. There is a great potential for pleasure that can be experienced by a united ecosystem working together, yet what of the body that is out of sync with its very self? Carnicula thrives in both health and strength, yet a subtle stench of decay cannot be ignored as you explore this vast realm of connection and want. What lies within?
Geography
As there are bodies that carry both organs and limbs, so is Carnicula in all its bizarre elegance and mystery. Some organs may be recognizable to the viewer that perceives them, while others may be completely alien in both form and beauty. Strange features and unknown tissues wax and wane as one's mind changes and grows within the pressures of the body and the spirit. Connection can take many forms, of which there may b no limit. Some realms like Hacienda flow alongside the ever-shifting waters of Carnicula as relationships are brought together and tested. Other worlds will never know of this strange realm of flesh and body. Some waves flow while others crash and die. As water comes together, so it also departs. Only the tamest waters of the calmest seas find any rest as they share eternity with one another in the deepest heights of the truest love.
Ecosystem
Unknowable cells as vast as the flesh they create. Number upon number they move with unceasing grace. Sleep does not come to a realm such as this. Though a mind may slumber, the body that supports never finds rest within. Time means nothing to organic components of a greater whole. What is past is also future to a cell that does not change. Millions more are destined to arrive to become a beautiful whole that knows not what to see or say.
Ecosystem Cycles
Where one path stood, many soon followed. Life became death to those that were meek and mild. Temples fell from glories now unknown. Endless life exchanged for a temporal day of woe. Some see this flesh without seeing its form. How illness besieged you, though none would know your scorn. From darkness came light, and how quickly that light fades. Carnicula lives and dies across an expanse of living and dying waves. A smoldering wick swims through a bleak ocean of utopian dystopia, for both pleasure and pain ensnare. Fear drives all instinct now, though love is always there. Many waves come, and many waves go. Carnicula will fade as well as past and future threads ring true. Born into death, and from death comes life. May new flesh come from an old, everlasting light.
Localized Phenomena
Though Carnicula is a bizarre realm in its own right there is a strange phenomenon that can be observed if one's eyes are attuned to the living landscape and its true condition. Something festers within deep wounds that cannot be seen by normal eyes or senses. Where healthy tissue resides, necrosis subtly lurks within. Puss oozes from invisible wounds that form on the canyon walls and crevasses that dot Carnicula's wondrous landscape. Veins and arteries strain under immense pressure as they deliver the essence of life to an entire ecosystem of flesh. Feverish inflammation slowly burns the inner webbings of bone and joints that hold Carnicula together. An invisible illness slowly spreads all around you, yet what causes this sickness cannot be contended with if a visitor is not attuned to the needs of this place. After all, how can one need a cure if they never know they are sick in the first place?
Fauna & Flora
The multidimensional exploration that occurs within Carnicula can bring some of the most bizarre creatures and explorers that Eternus can reveal. Despite this fact, Carnicula and its brood of natural inhabitants can leave many outsiders in a state of both bewilderment and horror. Cells of various kinds and functions crawl and swim throughout Carniculas vast chambers. Quasi plasmic forms shift and bend to the needs of the realm before them, thus Carnicula endures and grows as any healthy body should. Distinctions between creatures and flora are often blurry to all but the most seasoned travelers and tourists. I wonder how this bizarre wildlife would appear to you, dear explorer? Such is the eye that beholds, that know two realities remain identical except for the ones that are.
Natural Resources
On the surface of Carnicula biomass is without a doubt the most plentiful resource available to both local creatures and explorers alike. Sources of bone, tissue, and even some metallic substances can be harvested for personal use as the sources themselves are always regenerating what is taken away. Some realms that are able to experience Carnicula often establish some sort of supply chain with this realm so that certain resources may be made more frequently available to their own environments in whatever forms they may take. Still one has to wonder if this exploration and gathering of tissue is painful for Carnicula as creatures from all stripes of existence seem to make some sort of mark on this wonderfully disturbing realm. Some bring blessings and nourishment, while others bring curses and deprivation. As some beings live, others die to sustain them. Even the healthiest bodies can hide all matter of deadly diseases until they suddenly strike without warning or reason. Ironically the very connections that bring life to a realm can also serve as highways for death and solitude to spread and fester. Potential leaves room for countless possibilities, yet in the end the same story of strife and restoration is told as waves rise and fall throughout one's life, and death.
History
By cells born from a primordial age did spirit give form to the flesh. Sinew and bone wrought of unknowable desire grows and flourishes all around us as innocent flesh explores the limitless potential of its own existence. Organic building blocks fashioned by undeniable purpose move with both a haunting elegance and frightful beauty before those that witness such wonders of reality. Emotions of every stripe give birth to what is witnessed here, for flesh is but one aspect of choice that can be found within the multiverse that is known by some as Eternus.
Tourism
From across the expanse of Eternus itself, many creatures and beings from countless timelines and realities visit Carnicula for various purposes. There are some that see an economic value in a realm that contains rare organic resources on such a massive scale, thus there are many who exploit the resources of Carnicula for reasons that may be questionable to some. Others may crave the novelty found within such a unique reality as they sit and admire all that Carnicula has to offer them. For all the waves that bring light and life to a realm such as this, there are versions of Carnicula that are beyond corruption and rot. Countless beings crave connection and peace, and so Carnicula prospers in miraculous waves of blissful peace and harmony. Unfortunately, there are many other beings that only crave death and isolation, and so in turn Carnicula becomes a blasted hellscape of disease and cancer of which there can be no cure. So many visions and so much potential flows before you. I wonder which version of Carnicula will reveal itself to your budding heart over the course of your time here? Then again maybe there wouldn't be time where you dwell dear traveler? Such questions are perhaps best left to the realms they spring from, even as waves like Carpus echo through Carnicula like wind blowing through a gentle rain.
