Timoreth
Lesser Daemon of Fear, Paranoia, and Insanity
Timoreth is the Lesser Daemon of Fear, Paranoia, and Insanity. Timoreth was the first creation of Moth'Taron, and rather than being a single entity, is generally understood to be an amorphous being consisting of many individual entities. Tomoreth has been documented in many forms, and is known to be able to shape-shift to become whatever thing would be most horrifying to the viewer. Indeed in many cases multiple viewers have reported seeing the Lesser Daemon in different forms at the same time.
Regardless of Form, Timoreth carries with itself an aura of dread that few can overcome. Spending any serious length of time in the presence of this thing will drive anyone to insanity, and even short exposures can inflict an individual with life-long paranoia, and difficulty sleeping. It is said the Timoreth itself feeds off of the fear of those who have gazed upon it, and will often be found in places where fear is rife. Should one succumb fully to fear, it is said that Timoreth can then decide to possess your body. The only observed case of this, the individual eventually dissolved into a black mist and disappeared. Scholars believe that individuals who connect to this being long enough, will actually become part of itself, and fuel it's power more.
It is speculated that Timoreth was born of the souls which it's creator had driven entirely mad through his machinations, and is merely an extension of Moth'Taron himself, though this is uncomfirmed.
