Sessania Senekos
Empress
Sessania is the wife of Emperor Ariminius Comnenos. She married the emperor after the death of his first wife to an unknown disease, and has since sat by his side. She has given birht to only his youngest child Saxinius Comnenos, who is now married to the Archon of Lageta, Anistasia Amnisia.
She is widly known as a woman of immense charity, and frequently pays for the running costs of orphanages to take care of the children who have lost their parents in The Western Calradian Empire's constant wars. However, one should not be totally fooled by her charity, for under this facade she is a political maneuverer of the most masterful degree. None can prove it, but gaining her ire, or that of her husband has frequently resulted in unfortunate circumstances, including the discovery of crims severe enough to warrant rejection of noble title. Many fear the sword of her husband, but an equal number fear the wrath of the Empress, should they prove themselves unable to live up to the empire's expectations of them.
Her family hail from the region near Ortysia, and are notorious too for their backroom dealings, and willingness to go as far as needed to protect themselves and their kin.
Many comment on the fact that she looks years younger than her age, some say it is a blessing from a saint, others say she has access to exotic herbal remedies that prevent aging. Whatever the case, she doesn't look a day over 25, despite being over 50.
