Lageta

Lageta is the most populace city on the continent, and as such is a massive boon to the The Western Calradian Empire, as the sheer mass of people it produces helps populate it's frontiers and bolster it's armies.
The reason it has such a large population is that the plains surrounding the city are the most fertile on the continent, and will often produce two or three times as much produce as anywhere else. With cheap and plentiful food, the population of Lageta continues to grow. Within the city walls, and type of agricultural production can be found, including wineries, tanneries producing leather from the livestock, smiths producing tools for the fields, vast marketplaces when merchants from all over come to purchase food, and engineers desperately trying to maintain the ever expanding infrastructure. 
Lageta is the most civilian of the Western Empire cities, due to it's massive agricultural focus. However, the 4th legion is permamantly stationed here, to defend against attacks from The Battanian Confederacy. Though picturesque and productive, the rural farmlands of the region are prime targets for raiders from Battania or rogue mercenary attacks from The Kingdom of the Swadians.
