Rovalt

Rovalatys, in the mountains of the Ebor peninsula, was always a town of migrants, and rarely was fully tamed by the Empire. Nordic migrants, drawn to the region by rumors of riches to be made prospecting for silver or hunting for furs, long outnumbered all other demographics even before the Swadian invasion. The Swadians of House Dey Malric too recognized its potential, and despite its harsh winters this land is among the more populous regions of the kingdom, with bountiful fields in the valleys of the mountains feeding the constant flow of settlers from the south drawn here by their hunger for wealth.
The city on the other hand is high up in the mountains, and like it's sister city Ostican, has made significant wealth in silver, gold, and furs. And like it's sister city, it has also grown a significant military presence. However, unlike the elite companies of Ostican, the Rovalt regiments are most peasants raised from the fields of the mountain valleys. Together they can form a spear wall, supported by crossbows, that could effectively block the entire valley that splits the Ebor peninsula.
