Ostican

Ostican was a city up the hill from minor imperial port that became a haven for seafarers of the northern oceans. Many were talented corsairs, employed by imperial factions to harry their foes during the empire's intermittent conflicts. Indeed, some of the first Swadians to come to Calradia's shores settled in the back alleys of this town, and no doubt sent word to their kinsmen of the riches to be had here should anyone invade in earnest. Ostican is similar to Varcheg, in that it has access to deep Silver and Gold veins, and so has a thriving artisan class, and despite the cold climate is one of the wealthiest cities in Swadia. 
The city is home to multiple mercenary companies, all founded and commanded by the Duke Dey Malric, Ospir. He uses the riches of his cities to fund some of the most elite and disciplined mercenaries on the continent, making the favour of house Dey Malric an important factor in some conflicts. There are whispers about how fantastic the Duke Dey Malric looks, despite his age, but none are willing to question someone with his influence. The House Dey Malric is influential enough that they have even founded their own Order of monster hunters, the Order Maleficence. All of these formations are housed in their own fortresses within the walls of Ostican, making it one of the most concentrated military installations on the continent, as well as a city.
