Loch Munremair

Loch Munremair is a massive freshwater lake that lays in the Center-North of the The Battanian Confederacy highlands. It is surrounded by myths, and it is believed that the Lords and Ladies of the Deities of the Feywilds have a home deep at the bottom of the lake, from which they watch over the Battanian people and their other followers. Local Battanians will make pilgrimages here to prey to their deities for boons in exchange for service. In addition, it is said that the waters have healing properties, but only for those who are friends of the surrounding forest. Stories abound of men brought here, injured from war, and were healed when submerged in the water.
In practical terms, the lake feeds all of the surrounding forest lands with fresh water, and is a fantastic source of fish, which the locals collect to eat rather than cutting down trees to plant fields. The lake is extremely deep, even the hunters of the Order Nautilus have not successfully scouted the bottom.
