Lake Xorhas

Lake Xorhas is the geographic barrier between The Southern Calradian Empire and The Eastern Calradian empire. There is only one major bridge across it's waters, which is on the West side, and has become a "no man's land" as despite the official ceasfire, skirmishes continue along it's banks. the lake was once a thriving ecosystem for fishing, and was dotted with small towns and villages, not unlike Marsaxlok Bay. The fighting that has occured here has ended this though, as any unfortified settlement along it's banks has long been raided and torched. In addition, a casting mistake by a wizard of unknown origin (both sides claim it was the other) resulted in the dumping of magical poisons into the water. The waters will eventually wash them away, but for now the lake is devoid of any significant amount of life. The lake is now eerily quiet, still, and frequently covered in a shroud of mist, giving it an ominous vibe.
Some say that there are monsters growing in the lake, mutated by the magical poisons, but none of these claims have been confirmed.
