County of Dragmire
The county of Dragmire is the largest region in the Duchy of Trasnia, dominating its holdings north of the Seiluna Ridge mountains. It is currently ruled by House Dragavei which has climbed through the noble ranks to usurp other houses in order to take the lands it has acquired.
The county is named for the swamp that covers most of its lands, the Dragmire. While the lands closest to the shore within this territory have always been wetlands and the region around which Castle Dragavei sits has, for all recent memory, been a swamp, the rumors surrounding the region is that the swamp has been spreading, covering the lands to the point they are today.
The lands of Dragmire are treacherous to travel through and only a few roads are trustworthy to lead travelers between the scattered settlements that dot the swamp. All roads through the Dragmire eventually lead to Prospects Crossing, overseen by Castle Dragavei, where the house takes a toll from travelers, a much more common occurrence now that the city of Şeval has become such a center of technology and trade in the region.
