House Grozav
House Grozav is a small, old family in the County of Dragmire, dating back to the time of the Red Queen when the region of Dragmire was still ruled over by seafaring merchants and fisherfolk. House Grosav has ever been a small and insignificant house among the greater houses of Trandrafia, but has had its own influence over the region. House Grozav has been placed in charge of half of Dragmire’s shoreline, making them one of the largest suppliers of food to the region, as well as one of the greatest sources of imports from the sea. This has made the otherwise inconspicuous house reasonably wealthy under the rule of House Dragavei.
Structure
The current head of House Grozav is Lucian Grozav, an elderly man who has led the house through one of its most successful periods. He is often described as a kindly old man, but one who should not be underestimated as he is both savvy and prudent. He is soon to be succeeded by his eldest daughter Teadora Grozav, who has learned well from her father, but has also taken it upon herself to become more aggressive with the perceived foes of their house.
Public Agenda
Currently, the house's greatest conflict comes against a makeshift coalition of fishermen, sailors, and dock workers who have attempted to join together to form an organization similar to the Abiding Fortune in Draebia and the Immortal Visions that run the nearby city of Seval. In fact, rumor is that they have reached out to the Abiding Fortune for assistance. This opposition to the nobility’s absolute control over the market and the goods they bring in has caused delays and more than a few small conflicts, but Baron Lucian Grosav has yet to bring the full force of his authority down on the fisherfolk, and has instead chosen to treat with them, which some nobles see as a sign of weakness in his old age while it has had the opposite effect on the peasant population.
Assets
House Grozav is rumored to own an artifact of the former civilization of the region that lived along the shores, and the head of the house often is seen wearing a jeweled pauldron in the shape of a conch shell.
