Republic of Ponhearia

Structure

The republic is rule by an elected council of Magistrates called The Council, lead by the Secretary of the Republic. The Senate is in charge of the large scale political decisions of the Republic, and as such are the ones to make the rules and laws of the country. The country is divided into 10 Counties overseen by a Mayor selected by the inhabitants of the County. The Mayors select the Magistrates of the Senate amongst capable individuals.

Culture

They believe in the education of the people, and so all children must attend school until the age of 12. They also have the free The Academy of Magic, allowing anyone showing signs of magical potential. The country is divided into lumber-country to the south and farming country to the north.

History

The Republic was formed during The Uprising when humans that had until then lived under the rule of either Deadreachia, Imlad or Dinemire started an uprising and subsequetly created the Republic of Ponhearia. The Uprising was quick and efficient and almost no lives were lost, though both Imlad and Deadreachia lost huge amounts of land, while Dinemire managed to hold on to most of what they already had.
