Jahai
Jahai is one of the four cities of the sandswept coast. Like the others, it is ruled by a Sorcerer King and is heavily influenced by Glimmer, to the point where one's magical ability determines one's standing in society.
Jahai is the only city state of of the sandswept coast that does not lie directly on the coast. Instead, it occupies a small island that separates it from mainland Skargos, where its citizens mines rare gems all day long. Jahai is also the city state best known for its sorcerers and occultists, importing Glimmer at massive scales.
