Immediately following the Blight, the gods of Cairne, the Gods of the Seven Wonders, departed their creation in shame and despair.

Immediately following the Blight, the gods of Cairne, the Gods of the Seven Wonders, departed their creation in shame and despair. Unaware of the damage that was to be unleashed upon their world each for their own reasons; ego, trickery, ignorance, and fear. WHen all was said and done, all of the gods left for realms unknown and there has been no active sign of any of them since. The absence negated all use of divine magic and left the peoples of Cairne without any spiritual conduit. With there being no means of travel beyond their plane, the dead no longer have anywhere to go and every spirit and every fallen soul since is trapped within the confines of the world unable to move on or find peace.
