The Great Southern Plains were the last remaining part of the world that appeared to mostly escape from the corruption of the Blight. It was far enough away and fertile enough that the soil and vegetation remained after. An added side effect was that the panicked, forced migration of animal life mostly ended up resettling here as well. These are the lands granted by the Pact of Erindall to the Ongommu Tae people.

It was far enough away and fertile enough that the soil and vegetation remained after. An added side effect was that the panicked, forced migration of animal life mostly ended up resettling here as well. These are the lands granted by the Pact of Erindall to the Ongommu Tae people. The elders of the faction decided to begin in a fairly centered location and build outward from there. The first building was built within an enormous tree and dubbed, The Confluence. The people began there, starting in tents and hovels and quickly, mostly due to their famous work ethic, built out creating a sprawling farmland filled with homes, inns, shops, and more all designed to fit into the surrounding countryside rather than override it. The overabundance of animal life made the huntsmen and tanners extremely profitable jobs, just in keeping the numbers manageable. Life fell into a routine quickly and the people fell into their routines easily. Governing practices fell into place with relative ease as well, as most of the Ongommu Tae were content to allow things to develop in an organic manner according to need as it arose.
