While it is not uncommon to see many strange things in the gloom of the Eastern Wastes, the sighting of a spectral airship floating through the dark clouds above the Ventryte lands was the cause of much discussion...and it would not be the only time such a thing was seen.

When the Blight fell, the last queen of the Seanachaisian Empire, Bridgid Íonachta and her youngest daughter Pheobe Íonachta , were aboard a Bechtlarite airship that had been commandeered by a group of would be rescuers from Stapleton Investigative Services along with the proprietor, Mycroft Stapleton. As the Blight fell, a breathtaking battle took place aboard the ship in mid flight, and the rescuers were able to fend off not only Bechtlarite assassins, but a shadowy dragon as well. Unfortunately, they could not outrun the apocalypse, and the ship went down with all aboard assumed lost in the crash deep inside the Blight covered lands of the Elves.   The airship was famous, and easily recognizable, so when a ghostly, tattered ruin of an airship was seen floating silently through a storm above the newly founded tent city of Sand Wisp , assumptions and speculations began to fly. Talk of a ghost ship in the air above the Ventryte lands brought many scholars, treasure seekers, and more than a few hopeful Seanachaisian refugees.   The ship itself has since been seen many times, though always within a storm and usually following the same path over Sand Wisp and then vanishing beyond. Attempts to communicate with it, and even catch it have been made, but all attempts have failed thus far. The appearance remains a mystery, and the actual remains, though visible, faintly from above, are too deep into the Blighted regions of Gauldowhynna territory to safely be able to mount an expedition there.
