Warmhall

Warmhall is a large village in Northamos which holds great cultural significance to the Farlander peoples. It is build atop a thermal spring, and is home to the festival of Wintering, wherein all the nomadic tribes gather to spend the winter together.

Government

During the warm months, Warmhall is managed by the Elders and their bloodkin, who generally are enough in numbers to ensure basic upkeep.

Defences

Warmhall is surrounded by several layers of palisades, trenches and stakes, but its biggest defensive advantage is that, during the winter, virtually every inhabitant of Northamos is sitting within its walls, with no other settlement for thousands of miles.

History

Warmhall was built sometime in the Ancient Era, when the first Farlanders arrived in Northamos, and were forced to face the terrifying, ancient creatures that awaken in the winter. When spring arrived, the survivors built the settlement to serve as a home to all Farlanders who wish to remain safe and warm when the nights grow long, and the land grows sinister.
