Redwatch

The Ardunan Redwatch or "The Watch" was a paramilitary organization active in the final years of the Kingdom of Ardun. A loose collection of local militias led by union representatives, the Redwatch was the armed branch of the United Labour Front, and performed a wide range of activities, from community defense to voter intimidation campaigns.
At the outbreak of the Ardunan Civil War, the Redwatch was bolstered by volunteers, and served under War Commissar Cullen Radcliff as the main military force of the provisional revolutionary government in Caerun, holding back the advances of the Royal Armed Forces at great human cost. After a few successful engagements, such as the Battle of Mulder, which significantly slowed the nationalist forces, the Redwatch would continue to hold the frontlines as the first units of the newly founded Union Red Army were gradually deployed in July of that same year.
