The Origa

During this time, the spark of magic was given back to the world, stolen from the Acolyte by the Magician in the hopes that the spark might help the mortal races fight against the corruption of The One Chained in the Dark. The Magician also created the Origa, carving them in his image from the clouds and granting them life through a raw connection to the Ayae. It's said the Origa stood a few feet taller than humans and had a severe countance - sharp front teeth protruded from their mouths.   With the arrival of Origa, the Giants also disappeared from the known world. Origa spread across the world and, due to their raw connection to the Ayae, began to change and adapt to their new environments. Many that made their homes in the mountains became squatter and bulkier, eventually becoming what we know today as dwarves. Some made their homes in the hills, growing lithe and small, becoming halflings and gnomes. Others still, moved to the harser climates of the north and south of the continent, becoming what are now Orcs. The most common mutation, however, was into what are now considered humans - generally adapted to all environments. The Origa's connection to magic meant they wouldn't last long in their pure physical form and it's believed that no extant Origa live today, though there are theories and legends about missing clans of Origa or colonies that survived in the forgotten places of the world.
