Wellspring

As seen in

History

This was a thriving farming community. Its inhabitants didn't know much about illnesses beyond the few scrapes farmers would get and minor colds. Their first taste of a major disease was after Theodora Prescott and Eli Prescot arrived. Those who survived the first onslaught of the plague travelled with the couple to Falcon's Nest where they were slaughtered by Theodora Prescott.   Wellspring was never resettled. It was considered to be cursed by the early inhabitants, so they refused to go near this area.   It was rediscovered by the Archeological Society of Caelum Prime in 1975 IE. They were to find out much about this small village based on what was left behind. The terraced fields were still held by hardened mud and clay bricks. Remnents of the wood huts and the thatched roofs show what the residents lived in. Other items found are:
  • Stone and ceramic farming tools
  • Ceramic bowls (for eating and for creating herbal mixes)
  • Ceramic plates
  • Ceramic cups
  • Bone jewelry
  • Rudimentary bone weapons (leads Archaeologists to believe they weren't attacked very often if at all)
Things were left tipped over, somethings were broken, and a lot was left behind, so they were able to determine that they left in a hurry.

Tourism

Did the Society ever send another team to study Wellspring. With updated technology, I can't help but wonder what else could be discovered. I wonder if they ever think of that or if they consider their job done once they've discovered everything possible in the place they're studying. Could be a matter of resouces, time and money. I wish I could help. I want more information... but then again, I usually do.
