Nerug is one of the few shamans the Ogres have. He also wants his people to survive. He chose Leah Grace as wife because he trusts Luther Turner's word.
When Leah Grace, he stepped in as Ogre King to honor her memory and keep the Ogres on the right path. He led the war in The Night Lands when they were portaled there. Unfortunately for him and his kind, this meant leading them to their deaths.
