He's had a fairly normal life but he was introduced to the dark side of life and to Vampyres at an early age. He's grown up hating them. He found that joining the Vatican allowed him to hunt evil.
He hates Albion Marrable and hates it even more that he can't touch this particular Vampyre. But he listens to the Vatican, almost trusting that they have made the right decision.
