Seznic Ovid
High Scribe/Archon
Imperial scribe, author, and Archon of Otway, Seznic has lived a long and storied life. Born in the Greylands, Seznic quickly climbed the ranks, joining the empire only a decade after its formation. As high scribe, Seznic responsibilities involved notating imperial letters, decrees from the Cambium, judicial hearings, as well as providing legal documents for many imperial branches. Dostun Otway, a rising admiral within the empire, personally picked Seznic to be his military scribe. Otway enjoyed the aging elf's diction and would often regale in readings of his many military accomplishments. Seznic played a key role in Otway's seizing of Heaven's Landing through carefully worded propaganda. Emboldening the fisherman to reopen their mines, Seznic soon became High Scribe with Otway's appointment as ruler and Archon with Otway's secession from the Elven Empire.
Seznic survived the Xhosa Uprising. Unmarred by Nacer's men, Seznic was spirited away to the Bastille in case his knowledge of the empire was ever needed. It was there he remained, mostly forgotten, until recovered by the Shields of Sentynel.

Author's Notes
Seznic is mostly inspired by his namesake, Ovid, who lived through the death of the Roman Republic.
