Berylfolk - Hulk

Whether changed by the heavy selective breeding or by some darker/arcane method, the Cuni Berylfolk are a scarce memory and all that remains are the Hulks. Lovingly referred to as 'cattle' by their Halfling owners, Hulks are used as beasts of burden and mounts during long treks. This transformation has led the other Berylfolk (mainly the Greys) to greatly disdain halflings and their distorted pride.

Basic Information

Anatomy

Hulks are lapidae, quadruped monstrosities that scarcely resemble their original bipedal form. They stand much taller and bulkier than their Berylfolk counterparts used predominately as draft animals. Their bodies are covered in mangy brownish or bluish hair sporting a number of coat patterns. Hulks warped forelimbs resemble highly padded, shrunken claws with larger lapine hindlegs. Hulk faces appear devoid of thought, often with gaping mouths presenting their grotesque, protruding front insciors. The keen ears of the Cuni still remain engorged and drooping on their unfortunate decedents. While still sexually dimorphic, the extensive captivity of the Hulks have stymied sufficient primary sex organs to mate naturally requiring artificial insemination.

Additional Information

Average Intelligence

Retaining only semi-sentience, Hulks are not know to have any form of language outside of grunts and body language. When given a command in Halfling or Draconic, Hulks will normally obey.
