Battle of Mount Damen

The Battle of Mount Damen was a raid in Cumbria that occurred in 484 between King Uther Pendragon and the Saxon kings Cyning Octa of Nohaut and Cyning Eosa of Deira after the Siege of Eburacum.
After King Uther's defeat at the Eburacum, the army retreated to the nearby Mount Damen to tend to their wounded. Merlin the Magician appeared and magically cured the army, restoring them to full health. On Merlin's suggestion, King Uther marched back to attack Cynings Octa and Eosa in a night raid while the Saxons were drunk, unarmed and celebrating.
The Saxons were completely blindsided by the Logrian attack, and most of the Saxon armies were slaughtered while the prisoners from the Siege of Eburacum were rescued. Cyning Octa and Cyning Eosa escaped and retreated to Nohaut and Deira.
