Brenheart
The birthplace and heart of communism
Brenheart refers to the country of Brenheart and the city of Brenheart which is the capital of the nation and the place the nation takes its name from. Its the only nation in the world who's citizens don't use money.
The city itself is on the smaller size and mostly still exists because the people in it didn't want to wast the existing architecture. Its surrounded by lush fields and in its center lies a magnificent monument of seemingly impossible design created from the remains of the for that used to stand there to symbolise the overcoming of what might seem impossible
Star
The star of Brenheart is the Placibian Orb. This mysterious relic is supposed to make the impossible possible and make any desire reality. As a proof of its power it made Rojas into a Demigod. It has however not been used since leading many to theorize its either lost its power or that the power comes at a terrible price.History
Bren used to be one of the many cities conquered by the Tragodian Empire in Impesta. Durin the demon invasion the local noble ruler shut the gates for more then a century working clergyman to the bone to produce enough food and sometimes sending out raids to local villages for more supplies. The city was in a constant state of martial law and everybody in it was forced to work. Essantialy enslaving the non-human population and recruiting all the humans into the army. The exception being his fellow noble that still lived lavishly. Eventually due to exhaustion and old age many of the clergyman died out leading to harsh food shortages. This finally caused the people to rise up and overthrow there master with the help of Rojas they managed to actually do it. Afterwards came the problem of whom would now rule. Some of the more important revolutionaries where thrown forward as candidates but they had difficulties thinking of how they could replace the system of nobility they had relied upon. During this deliberation a Demon army attacked the city. And in a historical moment the entire city came together as one to fend them off. Every man women and child contributed what they could. Without much overarching organisation but by simply trusting community leaders and always making sure to save others in trouble the city manged to repel this attack. Inspired by this great act of cooperation the revolutionary leaders decided they didn't need a leader to replace the nobility. In the cities most dire time of crisis they had done the impossible without one.
Loosely organized as they where helping out others whenever you could seemed to work out mostly fine and especially respected leaders of the community did function as leader figures and authority when it was and only when it was necessary. After a while they started to reach out to the local villages to offer them support and trade for there food. Money was of no use in this so at first it was done via bartering but soon it turned into just helping out each other whenever they asked. Escape routes where set up, tunnels where dugs, hideouts created and eventually there was a system in place where even during the Age of Judgment the fields where tended to, with a network of scouts making sure everyone was evacuated well in time when a threat approached. This collective eventualy named themselfs after the city they where from, Brenheart, and decided to eventually hold relatively informal elections for a general council so they could join the The Impesta Confederacy.
Demography and Population
The country mostly consists of non-human races the biggest of which are halflings. Unlike most non-human countries Brenheart does allow humans into its borders and also as citizens, though most humans have a hard time adapting to the communist lifestyle. Humans also tend to not understand there policies on money and are often irritated they don't get free stuff whilst the rest does. Due to this there is still general skepticism towards humans.
Foreign Relations
Brenheart is in a verry precarious position. Whilst the country was mostly left to its own in times of piece it doesn't have much in the way of a formal military and many are afraid that it will slowly get taken over by its neighbors.
